Senior Technical Implementation Specialist - Cerner

Location: Washington, DC
ERPi is currently seeking a full time Senior Technical Implementation Specialist to provide onsite support at our Washington, DC site.
 
The Role:
  • Co-lead system review, design, development, and testing
  • Facilitate Current and Future state analysis
  • Drive technical recommendations
  • Work directly with technical leads, client clinicians, and clinical leadership to proactively assess documentation opportunities and issues
  • Utilize effective oral and written communication skills to facilitate discussions and decision making
  • Support tech lead to researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations for application work flow improvements
  • Actively participate in the Project teams for building clinical informatics systems, workflow analysis, and evidence-based content
  • Guide development and revisions of informatics policies and procedures based on system design, workflow reengineering, and input from end-users
  • Comply with standards for change control and work plans.
  • Ensure appropriate communication and documentation is completed to support application quality programs and application development
  • Work with project team for a successful on-time outcome
  • Client facing with executive presence and the ability to communicate progress, risks, and challenges to Project Manager and executive team
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • 6 years of progressive EHR Implementation experience, VA Vista experience a plus
  • Experience with HL7, ADT, FHIR and various other interface types
  • Experience with integrated health information systems as a consultant, system analyst, developer, architect and/or other role
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through written and verbal communications.
  • Requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work as a team member.
  • Willingness to facilitate end user training and ensuring that systems capabilities are evaluated to meet end user requirements and organizational strategic planning objectives
  • Must live in the Washington, DC Metro area
 
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in clinical field (e.g. BSN) with current license/certification or eligibility (e.g. RN).
  • Experience in a clinical environment (e.g., Nursing, Radiology, Pharmacy, etc.)
  • Relevant Cerner Certifications (e.g., Healtheintent, Lighthouse, etc.)
  • Excellent data-visualization, presentation, and communication skills with ability to demonstrate these skills in both face-to-face and electronic formats
  • Strong understanding of emerging Enterprise Data Management tools and processes, including: Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, Data Integration and Synchronization, Design and Build of Data Warehouses, Data Distribution, Reporting and Business Intelligence Solutions, Data Retention, Lifecycle, Standardization and Taxonomy, Enterprise Data Management Policies, Procedures, Compliance and Risk Management
