Business System Analyst

ERPi is looking for experienced consultants to become part of a growth opportunity, including the expansion of our core project management services.

In this instance, we are seeking a Business Requirements Analyst to support a core mission program at the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Loan Guaranty Services (LGY). This program will transform the way that home loans for service members, Veterans, and their surviving spouses are managed by creating a refreshed application that interfaces between the VA and the mortgage servicing community. The current application manages over 28 million active loans, with a complex and diverse set of external and internal stakeholders that are impacted by this product.  This role would be part of the Business Program Management Office (PMO) component of the broader VA initiative, and the PMO includes areas like business analyses, stakeholder engagement, change management, and technology acquisition.
Position Overview

The Business System Analyst will work closely with key stakeholders across the VA to drive the definition of business needs, processes, and requirements that are translated into the target future state from both an operations and a systems perspective. Specific Tasks May Include:
  • Facilitate the definition of business requirements for information technology solutions using interviews, document analyses, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, and scenarios
  • Create as-is and to-be process mappings of critical business functions
  • Communicate and collaborate proactively with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs, business systems and functional requirements
  • Support client growth initiatives by identifying additional opportunities and scoping/responding to follow-on tasks.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in an analyst or PM role
  • 1+ years of experience with one or more of the following areas: business requirements, functional needs and/or process optimization/process reengineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with working in an iterative or agile environment
