Senior Manager of Human Capital & Administration

Location: Fairfax, Virginia
Job Responsibilities:
This individual is responsible for directing the human capital functions of the organization consistent with the culture and in accordance with the policies and practices of ERPi. Organizational growth has brought increased complexity and the need for more sophisticated systems and processes to manage business operations, culture, and talent development. This role reports to the Vice President for Corporate Development. Responsibilities include:
  1. Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the organization's human resources, recruiting, corporate training, information technology, and facilities functions and performance. Identifies gaps within organization and strategies for mitigating.
  2. Advise senior leadership on organization design, change management, and how to best sustain a culture that suits our mission, supports our staff, and addresses any individual performance, interpersonal, and communications issues in our workplace.
  3. Develop/enhance programs and processes to identify, recruit, develop, review, incent and retain diverse talent.
  4. Develop/enhance and implement creative strategies for talent acquisition.
  5. Lead the review of existing performance-management processes, and recommend ways to strengthen feedback and review mechanisms to meet our goals of being an inclusive, innovative, team-based learning organization.
  6. Develops progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance. 
  7. Develops human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs to fill the identified gaps. Areas of activity will include performance management and development training and programs for preparing employees for more significant responsibilities, and general business development programs to enhance employee knowledge and understanding of the business of the company and the software industry. 
  8. Manages the development of appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the organization. Included in this area would be programs for employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, employee complaints, external education and career development, among others.
  9. Maintains knowledge of and compliance with HR policies, programs, laws and issues.
  10. Provides technical advice and knowledge to others within the human resource discipline.
  11. Works with Operations and other parts of the organization to develop, deliver, track and maintain a catalog of corporate and third party trainng.
  12. Oversight of ERPi leased facilities, procurement and delivery of information technology services, management of contracted services for infrastructure support and other administrative functions including procurement of IT, computers, telecom, and other administrative supplies or services.
  13. Oversee activities of Facility Security Officer (FSO) in connection with corporate security clearance compliance.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least 12 years of experience, including 7 years of relevant experience with significant leadership and direct involvement in the design and implementation of the talent management, learning and/or organizational development programs of a small to mid-sized company.
  • Undergraduate degree required; an advanced degree is a strong preference. 
  • Possess understanding and demonstrated ability to work in a small organization and be directly involved in policy and process review, development, and implementation.
  • Track record in building and managing diverse teams. 
  • Demonstrate strong communications skills. Be forthright—yet tactful—receptive, helpful, expert, and persuasive with individuals and groups. 
  • Proficiency in Word, SharePoint, Acrobat, and Excel
