Health Systems SME-VHA Community Care Program

Position 
ERPi is seeking health systems subject matter experts (SMEs) with experience supporting projects (change initiatives) of federal healthcare agencies in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of new or transformed business capabilities within the organization.  The Health Systems SME shall assist agency leadership with the analysis of current and future state concepts for executing the mission; development of new business processes; diagnosis of current problems, and redesign, reconstruct, and monitor processes to make sure they are effective. The SME shall assist agency leadership with direct expert recommendations and healthcare industry best practices to support the development of new business capabilities to meet changing mission requirements and legislative mandates, and provide continuous analysis of responses to policy or organizational changes. 
The health systems SME role will be part of a program implementation support services contract that supports an ongoing enterprise-wide transformation of the Veterans Health Administration’s health care delivery system called VHA Community Care. The program will provide Veteran patients with greater access to care through an integrated network of VA health care facilities and community providers in a manner that is easy to understand, simple to administer, and meets the needs of Veterans, community providers, and VA employees. The VHA Community Care Program Implementation Support contract will adapt commercial best practices and principles from payers and providers to help modernize VA’s clinical and business processes and capabilities to successfully transform VA community care and improve the Veteran, community provider and VA employee experience.

This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, strong organization and prioritization skills, ability to work in a dynamic, results-driven environment, ability to build and manage internal and external relationships at all levels, ability to think strategically to effectively assess clients’ situation and assemble solutions to meet needs, and excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

Role Description:
o    Provides health systems consulting support to a program implementation support services contract for an enterprise-wide transformation of the Veterans Health Administration’s health care delivery system called VHA Community Care. 
o    Tasks may include: supporting the VHA Community Care initiative in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of new or transformed business capabilities within the Veterans Health Administration.
o    Excellence in oral and written communications (briefings, presentations, and client ready documentation). 
o    Manage day-to-day client relationships and communications and represent ERPi at client progress meetings and briefings. 
o    Prepare progress reports and client briefings.
o    Prepare quality client deliverables.
o    Help to plan and execute program within client governance structure.
o    Support client growth initiatives by identifying additional opportunities and scoping/responding to follow-on tasks.

Required Skills and Experiences:
o    10 years of relevant experience in a healthcare mission area
o    Experience implementing healthcare transformation, with knowledge of the clinical and business processes of a healthcare organization or agency
o    Master’s Degree
o    Strong analytical skills 
o    Strong organization and prioritization skills
o    Ability to work in a dynamic, results-driven environment
o    Ability to build and manage internal and external relationships at all levels
o    Ability to think strategically to effectively assess clients’ situation and assemble solutions to meet needs.
o    Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
