Sharepoint Developer (Senior)

ERPi is currently seeking a full-time SharePoint Developer (Senior) to provide onsite support at our Washington, DC site.
The Role:
 
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is committed to providing seamless care for Veterans, including access to a complete electronic health record (EHR) and shared, transparent care pathways with the Department of Defense (DoD) and community providers.  In order to ensure seamless care for Veterans, VA will move toward a single common system by adopting the electronic health record (EHR) system that is being deployed by DoD, which at its core consists of Cerner Millennium.   Currently the VA is undertaking an enterprise-wide Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) effort through the procurement of the Cerner commercial electronic health record software and related support services. This modernization of VA’s health information management systems will result in a common, single, lifetime health record that both DoD and VA can access, with anticipated improvements in patient care and safety.

This role will support the implementation and configuration of Microsoft SharePoint for Veterans Administration-Electronic Health Records Modernization. Gather business requirements for system use and reporting, Configure Sites, Subsites, and Document Libraries. Develop appropriate views, custom fields, create calendars, and templates to meet the customer needs, Setup permissions (including users, groups, and categories) to meet client needs. Manage page content (i.e., web parts to capture and display client required data visualizations and page zones), create business rule required workflows to support general program change request. Must have experience with knowledge management within SharePoint (i.e., metadata tagging best practices and strategies), be able to guide migration from SharePoint 2013 to O365 (SharePoint Online).
 
Required Skills and Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline
  • At least 8 years of professional experience (16 years if degree requirement is not met)
  • Expert knowledge in the use/administration of SharePoint sites
  • Thorough understanding of SharePoint permissions models and hierarchy
  • Site Collection features and infrastructure
  • O365/SharePoint 2013 expert knowledge
  • General project management understanding/experience

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with VA or DoD
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with SharePoint
