Deployment Analyst

Location: Washington, DC
ERPi is currently seeking a full-time Deployment Analyst to provide onsite support at our Washington, DC site.
 
The Role:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is committed to providing seamless care for Veterans, including access to a complete electronic health record (EHR) and shared, transparent care pathways with the Department of Defense (DoD) and community providers.  In order to ensure seamless care for Veterans, VA will move toward a single common system by adopting the electronic health record (EHR) system that is being deployed by DoD, which at its core consists of Cerner Millennium.   Currently the VA is undertaking an enterprise-wide Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) effort through the procurement of the Cerner commercial electronic health record software and related support services. This modernization of VA’s health information management systems will result in a common, single, lifetime health record that both DoD and VA can access, with anticipated improvements in patient care and safety.

This role will Work as a deployment analyst, including acting as a member of the team supporting the Department of Veterans Administration (VA) Electronic Health Records Modernization Program (EHRM). Coordinate with development team for preparing for the releases using the Veteran-focused Integration Process (VIP). This includes tracking the readiness for releases working closely with the development team, preparing checklist for VIP releases.  Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders for VIP artifact reviews to ensure the VIP requirements for release are met in a timely manner.  Lead the initial operating capability (IOC) site recruitment to identify sites and establish long term professional relationships with the site implementation teams.  Track and report on deployment status, issues and lessons learned.  Review and develop plans of action, action tracker, and reporting tools to facilitate working with cross functional teams during weekly meetings.
 
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline
  • 5 years of experience in a professional work environment (13 years if degree requirement is not met)
  • Knowledge and experience in the VIP process and VA systems
  • Program management office (PMO) experience
  • Experience in reviewing documents, developing reports, developing action plans and trackers, and presenting to senior leaders
     
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of HealthShare
  • Knowledge of EHR
  • Experience in document reviews
