Junior Program Consultant

Location: Washington, DC
ERPi is currently seeking a full-time Junior Program Consultant to provide onsite support at our Washington, DC site.
The Role:
VHA’s Office of Veteran Access to Care (OVAC) oversees and improves Veterans’ access to health care across the VHA enterprise. This entails developing and enforcing policies, providing training and education, defining consult management in conjunction with clinical staff, and managing scheduling systems.
ERPi is seeking a full-time Junior Program Analyst with a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of professional experience to join a high performing team that supports the Office of Veterans Access to Care in providing program and project management support, project planning, systems management, and facilitation with knowledge of clinical access issues and medical scheduling practices across VA Medical Centers (VAMCs).
The Junior Program Analyst will, under the supervision of the project manager and senior consultants, support the following activities:
  • Support for program and project management for OVAC’s high-priority initiatives
  • Developing program goals, objectives, and plans, and monitoring program performance against the goals, objectives and plans. 
  • Administrative assistance to include development of meeting agendas, meeting minutes and notes, and tracking of actions, tasks, and milestones.
  • Work closely with VA Medical Center and field staff to coordinate virtual training sessions. 
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, conference calls, and webinars across all relevant efforts.
  • Track risks, issues, and actions related to program projects and initiatives. 
  • Work directly with Subject Matter Experts to assist in drafting guidance documents, facility memos, and other materials.
  • Manage databases to include data entry and reporting.
  • Coordinate planning and development sessions with OVAC staff as well as meetings to review schedules, risks, issues, and actions. 
  • Collaborate with and support OVAC staff in VA Central Office and virtually to develop corrective actions, and plans or alternative strategies to achieve goals.
  • Provide support in developing business cases, analysis of alternatives, strategic plans, roadmaps, toolkits, memos and trainings.
  • Assist in drafting reports, quad charts, issue/decision papers, briefings, and other artifacts to address the comprehensive range of program level requirements.
  • Provide research and analysis support.
  • Maintain SharePoint sites or other repositories such as VA PULSE, as needed, to maintain program and project documentation.
  • Provide coordination and facilitation across numerous VA organizations, to include VA Central Office program offices and field representatives.
  • Support the development of communications and training materials.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ professional work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Able to analyze quantitative and qualitative data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including reports and presentations
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and results-driven environment
  • Ability to build and manage client relationships at all levels
  • Ability to think strategically to effectively assess clients’ situation and assemble solutions to meet needs
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust-level clearance

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working with VA or Veterans Health Administration
  • Knowledge of health care practices
