Client Relationship Manager - NIH

Location: Bethesda, MD
ERPi is currently seeking a full-time Client Relationship Manager - NIH to provide onsite support at our Fairfax, VA and Bethesda, MD site.
 
The Role:
ERPi is a service-oriented professional management consulting firm with 17 years of experience in delivering integrated teams to meet NIH and other Federal agency clients’ needs through program and project management, business and clinical transformation, and information technology services. We currently have an opening for a candidate who will serve as a Senior Program Manager in ERPi's fast growing National Institutes of Health Account Team, responsible for client relationship development, leading development of new contract opportunities and delivery of awarded contracts within the National Cancer Institute, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Office of the Director, and other institutes, to support National Institutes of Health (NIH)'s scientific, research, informatics and clinical trial support requirements. As contracts are awarded, the candidate will serve as a Program Manager for a portfolio of projects. This candidate should have several years' NIH experience and existing client and partner relationships at NIH.  The Senior Program Manager will provide the following support:
 
  • Help lead the growth of ERPi's NIH account, working collaboratively with other ERPi Account leaders and ERPi's Business Development department
  • Refine ERPi's current market strategy, introduce ERPi to new NIH customers and teaming partners, develop a pipeline of qualified contract opportunities, provide capture and proposal support on new contract opportunities, and lead the delivery of awarded contracts
  • Develop and deliver capability and value proposition presentations to NIH clients and teaming partners
  • Develop and deliver briefings on new contract opportunities to ERPi corporate leadership for gate reviews, bid decisions, black hat sessions, and win theme discussions, and incorporate feedback to increase probability of success
  • Lead teaming efforts that maximize ERPI's and potential teammate’s ability to provide customer value
  • Draft Request for Information (RFI) and market research responses to NIH contract opportunities
  • Work with ERPi's proposal managers and teams to create and execute proposal plans that translate win themes and differentiators into technically compliant and compelling winning proposals
  • Conduct after action reviews for all contract opportunity capture and proposal efforts to document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions
  • Possess knowledge of the federal contracting process and relevant contract vehicles
  • Possess strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Possess expert-level program management skills, using industry-standard PMBOK principles, over multiple complex, high-visibility projects within NIH's portfolio
  • Build relationships with key scientific and administrative leaders in NIH institutes
  • Provide leadership for project teams by building teams and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives for the client
  • Ensure minimum required profitability on all contract work
 
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience developing client relationships, leading new contract opportunities, and delivering work within NIH, with specific experience in one or more of the following institutes: National Cancer Institute, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and Office of the Director
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including reports and presentations
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong team player, able to manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing client needs
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, results-driven environment
  • Ability to build and manage client relationships at all levels
  • Ability to obtain a government Public Trust/NACI clearance
