Busines Requirements Lead

Location: Arlington, VA
ERPi is currently seeking a full-time Business Requirements Lead to provide onsite support at our Arlington, VA site.

The Role:
ERPi’s Business Requirements Lead shall serve as the client delivery expert responsible for assisting the United States Army HQDA G-3/5/7 with developing and documenting business requirements. The Requirements lead will conduct research, focus groups, and publish requirements and use cases in support of Army G-3/5/7’s Global Force Information Management Operating Environment (GFIM OE) system engineering.  In systems engineering and software engineering, requirements analysis encompasses those tasks that go into determining the needs or conditions to meet for a new or altered product or project, taking account of the possibly conflicting requirements of the various stakeholders, analyzing, documenting, validating and managing software or system requirements.  Requirements analysis is critical to the success or failure of a systems or software project.  The requirements should be documented, actionable, measurable, testable, traceable, related to identified business needs or opportunities, and defined to a level of detail sufficient for system design. 
  • Lead the development of strategies and plans to effectively and efficiently execute planning,
  • Facilitation, coordination of agendas, action items for the management and technical requirements and design reviews.
  • This specialist will oversee and deliver work products as the team works with customers to develop their requirements traceability matrix (RTM) documentation,
  • Identify and document legacy capabilities and utilize business process reengineering (BPR) documentation of processes/process steps/systems to develop use case-based requirements
  • Assist customers with establishing or adjusting business rules in alignment with “best practices” and updated policies.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Math, Engineering or related technical experience
  • 12+ years of experience in related field
  • Experience with requirements and system engineering processes (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, and SCRUM), and detailed implementation planning to complex systems or enterprises
  • Experience eliciting enterprise and solution requirements on Requirements Trace Matrix in User Stories/Use Cases
  • Customer service and Design Thinking mindset
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Very strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Confluence, JIRA and/or DOORS
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Systems Engineering and Integration experience working with HQDA systems projects
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of JIRA
  • Relevant requirements management and business analysis certifications / training
  • Project/Task Leadership skills and experience
  • Facilitation of small to large large groups to reach a common understanding and consensus from muiltiple viewpoints
  • Strategic Thinking and Analysis: Be able to understand and articulate strategic level requirements and understand the implications for implementation level requirements
  • Communication and Documentation of requirements and analysis suitable for a wide variety of audiences that have different levels of understanding.
