Business Architect

Location: Arlington, VA
ERPi is currently seeking a full-time Business Architect to provide onsite support at our Arlington, VA site.

The Role:
ERPi’s Junior Business Architect shall serve as the client delivery expert responsible for assisting the United States Army HQDA G-3/5/7 with business process analysis/re-engineering, business and system architecture documentation, business rule documentation/development, data analysis, and policy-to-process documentation. This specialist will oversee and deliver work products as the team works with customers to develop their business process documentation, determine gaps and redundancies in processes/process steps/systems, develop use case-based requirements, make recommendations for business process re-engineering, assist customers with establishing or adjusting business rules in alignment with “best practices” and updated policies, and guide the client in developing functional requirements. This professional completes business process mapping during facilitation with stakeholders, develops presentations, prepares decision support analysis, and assists with requirements development.
The position is in support of Army G-3/5/7 DAMO-FME’s Global Force Information Management Operating Environment (GFIM OE).  Today the Army has multiple business processes and systems that together provide the ability to support Force Management planning.  The efforts of DAMO-FME, including Policy, Planning, Requirements Development and Business Process Engineering, will allow the Army to implement Global Force Information Management (GFIM) Objective Environment (OE). The GFIM OE will consolidate processes and improve data quality in a Global Force Management Data Initiative (mandated) data standard. The GFIM OE will include NIPR and SIPR instances that will enable Army Force Management Planning, and will support the Joint Staff [ORION] Dynamic Force Employment construct and ultimately the CSA’s readiness dashboard.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Two (2) years of business process, system, and business architecture documentation tools, processes, and techniques; Demonstrable expertise in ARIS and architecture database management.
  • Working knowledge of DoD’s End-to-End and Business Enterprise Architecture.
  • Two (2) years of directly relevant business process re-engineering experience; facilitation/elicitation, process capture, and process data analysis.
  • Experience reporting directly to military leadership and Federal Government Executives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Business Process Re-engineering or Lean Six Sigma training and/or certifications.
  • Ability to re-use business objects within architecture tools and across models.
  • Ability to develop presentations using Microsoft Office products, and XML/UML-based architecture tools.
  • Previous related experience at the HQDA level.
  • Personally, driven and accountable.
