Healthcare Strategy Consultant

Location: Washington D.C. Metro, DC
ERPi is currently seeking a full-time Healthcare Strategy & Operations Consultant to provide onsite support at our Washington, DC site.

The Role:
The candidate will support ERPi’s clients at the Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on improving Veteran access to care through an initiative called the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Community Care. It will transform the Veteran and provider experience, and lead to process improvement in the United States’ largest health system.
ERPi is seeking candidates with management consulting experience, ideally in a healthcare related field. Candidates should have experience across general consulting functions such as process improvement, project management, strategic planning and/or implementation support for business operations.
The role requires strong analytical and management skills; strong organization and prioritization skills; ability to thrive in a diverse and dynamic work environment; strategic thinking and planning capabilities; and a flexible and innovative attitude.
The Healthcare Strategy and Operations Consultant would provide support to the VHA Community Care initiative. Tasks may include:
  • Performance improvement or implementation projects
  • Excel in oral and written communications (briefings, presentations, client-ready documents)
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships
  • Help plan and execute program within client government structure
  • Support client growth initiatives by identifying additional opportunities and scoping/responding to follow-on task
     
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 2-5 years of consulting, client service, or project based work experience
  • Strong analytical skills, including with large data sets
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong knowledge and skills with Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, results-driven environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Ability to build and manage internal and external relationships at all levels
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
     
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or FAC-P/PM certification desirable
  • Experience working with federal and/or private sector healthcare systems
  • Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Experience working with large healthcare system transformational efforts
  • Experience working at a nationally recognized consulting firm
  • Other desirable certifications include, but are not limited to: Certified healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP),
