Senior Graphic Designer

Location: Fairfax, VA
ERPi is currently seeking full-time Senior Graphic Designer to provide onsite support at our Fairfax, VA site.

The Role:
Stand up a creative services capability that will serve client delivery and internal corporate needs. Individuals in this role provide service excellence by performing project activities to address key client business issues by using standard assessment techniques and tools to meet our clients’ objectives.
  • Refine the services, capabilities the Creative Services team will offer
  • Refine the operating structure and guiding principles for the Creative Services team that will support Operations, Corporate Communications, and Business Development
  • Refine the tools and the processes that will capture the demand (request form and workflow) and the capacity in-place and/or the gaps that exist 
  • Manage the vendor services with printers, copywriters, other designers (1099s), web developers;
  • Recommend a tiring of our 1099 consultants
  • Support creative solutions for Operations, Corporate Communications, and Business Development
  • Design and revise concepts, visuals and messages that support the corporate communications, business development and client communications strategies
  • Assure consistency for written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts and other designs
  • Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, logos and websites in the right tone of voice—assuring consistency in written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts and other designs (operations, business development, corporate communications)
  • The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and producing graphic exhibits, including artistic considerations using technical knowledge and skills, in both physical and electronic form.
  • Tasks may include designing for a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, books, posters, product packaging, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity (such as award programs, summits and meetings) that require the organizations visual brand.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 10 years of related experience
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, result-driven environment
  • Ability to build and manage internal and external relationships at all levels within an organization while possessing diplomacy and cooperative style necessary to work effectively with diverse individuals across functional disciplines
  • Ability to think strategically to effectively assess clients’ situation and assemble service solutions to meet clients’ needs
  • Excellent visual ideation/creativity including the ability to make original sketches based on ideas from the VA client and then use those sketches as the foundation for what will ultimately appear online or in print
  • Solid knowledge of visual design fundamentals including brand identity, layout, color theory, typography, photography and print production
  • Expert Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements when developing layouts to provide access to information and data for people with disabilities
  • Proficiency in multimedia design. The ability to create simple animations, programming language integration, documents with interface elements, and interactive infographics, and to develop more complex and multimedia-rich projects.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint design and development.
  • Proficiency in organizing and structuring elements on a page so they are clear and guide visitors towards the goal, presenting information and a path for the VA client while hitting that perfect balancing point between space-wasting and cluttering
