Scientific Program Manager

Location: Bethesda, MD
ERPi is currently seeking a fulltime Scientific Program Manager to provide onsite support at our Bethesda, MD site.
 
The Role:
This position is an opportunity to serve as a Scientific Program Manager to support the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)’s clinical and scientific research programs. The candidate will apply program management principles to assist the NHLBI Program Manager with managing their clinical and scientific research program's key activities, milestones, and deliverables. The candidate will prepare required documents such as project documentation, schedules, budgets, reports, and presentations.  The candidate will also serve as a program liaison, regularly collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in support of the program. The candidate will identify and engage strategic partners who can support the clinical and scientific research programs' missions. The candidate will assist with coordinating and overseeing working groups, and their reports to various executive committees. The candidate will coordinate and collaborate on strategy and execution, and regularly engage with senior leadership.
 
Required Skills and Experience:
  • MS with 8 years Program Management experience, preferably with a Federal client, with two years supporting a scientific program
  • Strong problem solving, critical, and analytical skills
  • Able to analyze quantitative and qualitative data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including reports and presentations
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative and results-driven environment
  • Ability to build and manage client relationships at all levels
  • Ability to think strategically to effectively assess clients’ situation and assemble solutions to meet needs
     
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Prepare high quality, professionally developed written products in a wide variety of formats that convey information and articulate/represent client positions. 
  • Accomplish/assist with the preparation of briefings, studies and reports for presentation to client leaders and their stakeholders, to include high-level working groups and meetings of senior officials.
  • Previous experience working with the NHLBI and/ or National Institutes of Health preferred
