HIMSS005 Interoperability Specialist

ERPi is currently seeking a full time Interoperability Specialist to provide onsite support at our Washington, DC site.

The Role:
The candidates will leverage skill to help develop an information technology capability for the firm and delivery interoperability support to our Federal Government clients.  Candidates should be able to lead teams to meet the needs of both business and information technology clients, assisting clients with framing problems and developing robust interoperable solutions. Candidates should be familiar with common architecture standards including TOGAF and DoDAF and commonly used modeling tools. This individual will serve as a member of ERPi’s senior corporate service team and will report directly to the ERPi Vice President of Operations.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Independently provides specific systems consulting, systems analysis, resolves data integration issues for technical infrastructures of all complexities.
  • Advises and leads the translation of business requirements and models into feasible and acceptable data designs using healthcare standard technologies where applicable.
  • Develops and manages interoperability roadmaps and helps ensure execution and delivery.
  • Provides advice on technical issues, mappings and methods of maintaining a machine-driven architecture that enables the collaboration of computers and humans across the multi-fabric to identify, access, extract, reason, interpret and maintain critical information to perform meaningful analysis.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of critical software interfaces and perform relevant analyses to aid in their optimization.
  • Constructs and revises a forward-looking view of the software system architecture and set goals and priorities for the key components within that architecture.
 
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • At least 5 years of healthcare industry integration experience preferred.
  • At least 5 years of practical level experience in providing integration/interoperability support on large and complex    healthcare projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience with full life cycle product development.
  • At least 3 years of federal consulting experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge and specialized experience in areas of systems interoperability and networking technologies.
  • Ability to build and manage internal and external relationships at all levels within an organization while possessing diplomacy and cooperative style necessary to work effectively with diverse individuals across functional disciplines.
  • Department of Veterans Affairs experience preferred.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
