ERPi is currently seeking a full time Health Analytics Consultant to provide onsite support at our Washington, DC and Fairfax, VA site.
 
The Role:
The Health Analytics Consultant will be a leader in developing analytics capabilities for the firm and deliver data science and analytics services to our clients in the Federal government (i.e., VA, HHS). Candidates should be able to work with clients to identify and frame business problems, architect or research innovative solutions, and apply contemporary analytic methods and tools. Candidates will leverage skills in creating data mining, machine learning, and other data science tools, combined with health domain knowledge, to improve patient outcomes, patient safety, and access-to-care. Candidates will optimize healthcare operations and federal agency research and development efforts. Candidates will use open source tools such as R and Python to conduct analysis, then package and present findings to senior agency leadership. Candidates will also be tasked with helping expand internal capabilities, including developing dynamic reporting tools, analytics methodologies for inclusion in business development efforts, and supporting recruiting and retention of talent to the firm.

Required Skills and Experience Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of related experience OR
  • Master’s degree and 3-4 years of related experience
  • Understand business processes and process improvement activities
  • Perform statistical analysis (e.g., distributions, testing, regression)
  • Apply data mining techniques
  • Develop predictive modeling tools
  • Risk stratification
  • Understand data reporting and analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Customer oriented
  
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Advanced graduate degree or training in data science, predictive analytics or informatics
  • Experience with advanced data visualization tools (e.g., GGplot, Tableau)
  • Experience with machine learning techniques, algorithms, or related processes (e.g., Bayesian and statistical algorithms, Decision Forests, Neural Networks
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., R, Python, MatLab, SAS)
  • Proficiency in query languages (e.g., SQL, Hive)
