Proposal Manager

Location: Fairfax, VA
The Role:
ERPi is currently seeking a full time Proposal Manager to provide onsite support at our Fairfax, Virginia site.
The proposal manager’s performance has a direct impact on ERPi’s success. Submitting competitive proposals is ERPi’s primary mode of establishing contracts with the Federal government, which are ERPi’s primary sources of revenue.
 As he or she is responsible for what becomes the submitted proposal itself, the proposal manager is authorized to determine and assign the tasks with deadlines required for its successful development and submission. Major challenges inherent in the position include the necessities to:
·        Manage geographically dispersed proposal teams comprising employees of multiple firms
·        Judge compliance issues from incomplete or ambiguous RFP requirements
·        Manage short proposal response periods
What you need to bring to the table:
·        Manages the proposal development process from draft or final Request for Proposal (RFP) release through proposal submission
·        Collaborates with an opportunity’s capture lead to staff the proposal team and assign responsibilities
·        Monitors for Government communications such as RFPs, amendments, and Questions and Answers (Q&A), distributing them to the proposal team as appropriate
·        Acts as proposal team’s authority on RFP compliance
·        Defines and manages the proposal development schedule
·        Analyzes an RFP and generates working documents with compliant outlines, structures, and styles
·        Guides proposal contributors in the timely and effective fulfillment of their responsibilities
·        Supports or facilitates proposal reviews as needed
·        Performs cross-disciplinary proposal development tasks such as data call coordination, graphic development coordination, section writing, and desktop publishing as needed
·        Performs knowledge management of proposal development resources such as past proposals, past performance write-ups, and resumes
  • Eight years of direct, successful Federal proposal development experience featuring progressive and increasing roles and responsibilities.
  • Spoken and written command of English sufficient to collaborate effectively with English-speaking proposal teams, to comprehend complex proposal topics, and to implement written marketing techniques is required.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Certification by the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), at any level, or Shipley University is desired. Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Word is desired
