Senior Communications Consultant - Woman's Health Services

Location: Washington, DC
Background:

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) operates one of the largest healthcare systems in the world, designed to provide the highest quality of care to our nation’s Veterans and their families. The number of women using this system has increased substantially in the past decade, and continues to rise. VA recognizes operational and cultural barriers to the delivery of comprehensive women’s health care and leans on the Office of Women Health Services (WHS) to provide programmatic and strategic support to implement positive changes in the provision of care for all women Veterans. WHS contracts ERPi to provide Communication and Consulting Services, which provides a vital extension to the outreach arm of these efforts.
Women Veterans have unique health needs and the VA is challenged to make sure they receive equal care with sensitivity to gender-specific issues. ERPi requires an experienced Senior Communications Consultant to lead WHS strategic communications, which provide a critical resource to help women Veterans access the support that they have earned through service to our country.
