Business Process Management Consultant

ERPi is looking for experienced consultants to become part of a growth opportunity, including the expansion of our core business process engineering capabilities.

This role is in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). VBA is transforming its ability to serve Veterans, including the creation and stand-up of a new program and analytical capability to a) detect and prevent benefits fraud/waste/abuse, and b) address recurring data quality issues. VBA manages over $90B annually in benefits.
In support of this program, ERPi is looking for qualified Business Process Management Consultants to:
  • Shape and execute various types of business process reengineering initiatives, including the development of workflows and related business rules.
  • Design and implement process improvements that integrate strategy, technology and people, reducing complexity and risk of mission-critical business imperatives.
  • Create process change by integrating new processes to improve existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted stakeholders.
  • Plan, implement and sustain approved solutions and develop performance measures to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Engage leadership across the organization, highlighting and communicating innovative quality and/or process improvement solutions and findings to multiple levels of leadership.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., BS, BA)
  • Six or more years of experience in business process reengineering/improvement and system redesign methodologies, including BPR, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, CPI, or other
  • Ability to be an innovative, resourceful, and collaborative problem solver
  • Strong organization, prioritization, team-work and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate thoughts, ideas, and solutions logically in written and oral situations
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, results-driven environment
  • Ability to provide thought leadership to senior level clients
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Lean Six Sigma certification(s) strongly preferred
  • Experience with process automation design and implementation
  • Experience with federal management consulting
  • Experience with IT Modernization efforts
  • Experience with robotic process automation technology platforms (e.g. Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and UIPath) is helpful
