Information Assurance Journeyman

Location: Arlington, VA
Job Responsibilities:
Supports the Army for their General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) SAP ERP program, specifically, to ensure that the following security and information requirements for the system are met:
(1)   Ensures that information systems security and application security policies and procedures are followed.
(2)  Conducts information system (IS) security assessments and validations.
(3)  Validates that the security design is appropriate to secure all hardware, software, and infrastructure.
(4)  Confirm that the security design will support future system upgrades.
(5)  Prepare, review, and maintain security violations and incident reports prior to submission to leadership and response teams in accordance with Incident and Intrusion reporting.
(6)  Prepare, review, and maintain the monthly Cybersecurity/Information Assurance controls and metrics for submission.
(7)  One time install and quarterly review of configuration of Host Base Security System application.
Required Skills and Experience:
(1)  Bachelor’s Degree in relevant business or technical field.
(2)  Two (2) to four (4) years of relevant cybersecurity/information assurance experience and practical industry, government or consulting experience in information technology management, including active participation in a major assessment and accreditation for DoD or other entity using the NIST SP 800 series.
(3)  Proficiency in basic analytical software such as Microsoft Excel and Access, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, SharePoint, Project, Visio and PowerPoint.
(4)  Experience with the enterprise Mission Assurance Support System (eMASS), DoD’s Assessment and Accreditation software package used for the Risk Management Framework workflow.
(5)  Knowledge and experience developing system / network diagrams.
(6)  Able to work independently and demonstrate strong initiative and an ability to organize daily tasks with minimal supervision.
(7)  Strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with team members and various levels of management and internal clients.
(8)   Experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for senior-level officials.
(9)  U. S. Citizenship is required
Desired Skills and Experience:
(1)   Advanced Degree with concentration in Information Security.
(2)  Meets the requirements of DoD 8140.01 (DoD M-8570.01) for IAM Level III (GSLC, CISSP, CISM)
